If you didn't already know, the YuYu Hakusho Trading Card Game is a TCG where you and your opponents face off using  your favorite characters from the YuYu Hakusho series. You can use weapons and techiniques to boost your strength, as well as items and events to shift momentum in your favor. In a one-on-one contest, your characters fight to win the best of five matches. As a fast paced TCG, you'll have to anticipate your opponents moves, and counter them to stay on top.

 

New to the TCG? Looking for some powerful characters to add to your collection? Look no further than the YYHTCG Starter Decks. Each deck contains four character cards and two related cards to match the team. There are four teams; Urameshi, Toguro, Ichigaki and Rokuyukai. My only complaint is that the starter decks are random. I've already bought four, and no Team Urameshi. So happy card hunting! 

 

The YuYu Hakusho TCG is anything but basic. Overviewing the massive TCG in a quick summary is nearly impossible, but here goes. The YYHTCG consists of four kinds of cards; Item, Technique, Event and Character Cards. You use your characters to face off against your opponent, and Items, Events and Techniques to increase your power, heal yourself, or to use new attacks. The first set, the YYH expansion, contains a variety of good character cards, as well as some good Item, Technique and Event cards. My top three picks of the cards I own/have seen are 1. Dragon of the Darkness Flame 2. Suzaku, Makai Master 3. Touya, the Ice Master. Dragon of the Darkness Flame is a Technique Card with a massive attack of 12,000 points! Suzaku and Touya's cards look great and sport a decent attack and defense values, as well as some nice effects.

 

 

 

 

 

This December is the release date for the next amazing set of YuYu Hakusho cards. From what I've seen, the new cards promise to add greatly to any collection. The cards show off a new, more contemporary design, as well as some real power-house characters. And Kurama fans will be excited to hear that Youko Kurama is one of the Ghost Rares in the set. You're going to have to work hard to find that Youko card as Ghost rares are extremely hard to come by. Good luck!
